Alta Loma School Board: Andres and Hurley Lead Trustee Areas 3 and 5

RANCHO CUCAMONGA — November 4, 2026. Two governing-board seats in the Alta Loma School District were on the November 3 ballot. In Trustee Area 3, Arthur “Art” Andres has 1,354 votes (58.46%), compared with 962 (41.54%) for Rika Baum, according to San Bernardino County’s final unofficial election-night results.

Area 5 is a separate contest

In Trustee Area 5, Malinda Laura Hurley leads with 1,263 votes (58.85%), while Antoinette Elaine Jensen has 879 (40.96%). The registrar reports 10 of 10 precincts in Area 3 and eight of eight in Area 5 for this preliminary snapshot. Those figures do not mean the county has finished counting every timely ballot.

What residents should watch

The school district serves its own designated trustee areas. Residents checking this outcome should distinguish the district’s races from separate board elections for the Cucamonga and Etiwanda school districts, which also appear in county results and have different candidates.

The registrar plans another results update by 6 p.m. on November 5. Full totals: official San Bernardino County election reporting. Candidates’ apparent leads are not yet certified results.
